still, $150 is outrages. My co. always pull's out the seats, carpet, etc. to run wiring and we always put it in w/ factory style loom or tape as well. that's just ridiculous, but if you can get your customers to pay that than great. I wouldn't have been in business since 87 if I charged that much though. scheesh...

Ack, we are located at 800 New Brunswick Ave, Suite # 6 in Rahway, NJ 07065....the # here is 732-388-7000....let me know what your installer says or does for you...

As for the $150 for a screen install with brain.....I never felt like i was raping anyone on that price because I know, as well as the customer knows, what kind of end product will result in it. Most shops here in NJ charge AT LEAST that to install a unit like that.

must be the area then. I have 3 other high end audio shops within 10 miles as well as a best buy & circuit city, and we all charge about the same. more power to you. I'm lucky anymore to get $50 for standard amp labor, people are quite cheap in my area i guess.

I'm getting alternator whine due to the brain being installed all of two inches from the 4 gauge power wire that BMW has running on the passenger side. I'm still talking with my installer to have them move it (lifetime warranty on installs). They think it might be a problem with the Clarion unit (1st generation) which are having issues with their gear mechanism and powering off on their own. Your's should have all of these issues resolved with the newer gen. model.

I would think it shouldn't cost more than $150 because of the labor involved in removing the carpeting and seat.
Your shop should've known that it needs to be run on the drivers side (away from the power wires).
