Can I fit 17x8.5 type 68m rims in the front?

The stock set-up is staggered (17x7.5 Front & 17x8.5 Rear). I wanna have 17x8.5 with 245/40 tires all around. Is this possible or is it a dumb idea?

The wheels wont be a problem but the tires might be too wide...I know the car can handly 235s but not sure about 245s. Might have to do some fender work?
