Spare tire / weight question

How many of you drive with the spare tire? and how many of you drive with the spare removed to save weight?

Cool

Lots of inter-state driving for me. I would hate to get a flat and not have the spare tire with me, because I wanted to lighten the car by a few pounds. Also, my golf clubs are always in the trunk.. You never know when a tee time is available. But, I only date thin, petite women, so, that offsets having the spare tire vs. no spare and a heffer in the passenger seat.

Without the spare I would be reminded even more how much I need to lower it!

With out the spare tire...

your car loses the infamous near 50/50 weight balance which is crucial in BMW's kick ass handling. Also it helps in safety for if you were rear-ended really hard, it absorbs some of the impact, my vote, keep it in there. You might save 50 pounds, but you really won't be able to tell the difference with or without the extra weight...
