Car Is In Production!

Finally after almost 3 weeks (i ordered on 4/20) My car is in production, well atleast bmw owners circle says so. It said it was "on order" before today. I am glad to hear the ball has atleast started to roll. Hopefully by mid June it will be at the dealer ready for me to pick it up.

Congratulations! I know the feeling of checking the website every couple of hours WAITING for it to change. I would recommend calling the BMWNA number to check your order status - they can give you status numbers and dates, whereas the website is usually slow and doesn't give as much info.

I have tracked mine with a spreadsheet someone gave me.

Its happily sitting at the dock waiting for a boat to come along and pick it up! I just hate that I'm locked into 6/17 for my PCD since I have a feeling it will be there and waiting for me several days before that.

How is yours, BTW? Loving it, I'm sure....post some new stories! Help keep my dream alive!

Calling BMWNA?

SO u could call BMWNA directly to get a more acurate idea of where your car is at? I know the owners circle thing is behind schedule.

the status code - check the link above to the list of codes and what they mean - my order is at status code 150 now.

give bmwna or the dealer a call and they can tell you what yours is based on your order number.

My car went into the "Scheduled For Production" a week and a half ago. From what I hear it is scheduled for 1 1/2 - 2 weeks then it takes 1 week to be built. looks like we will both be getting our cars right around the same day! What did you order?

I've been incredibly busy over the past 3 weeks, but life has finally returned to normal. I have an appt to get my wheels mounted next tuesday. The modding shall begin once again!

The short story is that I love the car. The suspension does feel a bit soft to me, but what do I know. It's definitely stiffer than the 325, but not quite what I remember from my e36 M3. Nothing some new coils won't fix!

Don't fret though. It'll still roll around a corner like it was nothing at 60. It's hard to know when to slow down, as it's hard to tell when you're going fast! It's very deceiving. They did an incredibly good job balancing the car between sport and leisure.

Awesome! I really can't wait. I can't remember, did you tell me what you were doing with your stock wheels and tires? I really want to swap mine out, but I just can't see spending the extra cash right after dumping so much on a down payment unless I can get SOMETHING for my original wheels.

Help me Obi-wan....you're my only hope!

I don't yet know what I'll end up doing with my stock wheels. My friend says he might want to buy them, but I don't know how serious he is about it. I hope he does so I can recoup some of the cost of the new ones

No ****....*sigh* you know, if I had never found this place, I would never have found all this useful info (bulbs and wheels and head units and production codes and stuff)...but I would have been JUST FINE driving around in my dope stock wheels and not knowing better....
