Need help with DDE's

Today after I got out of my car, I noticed that the right DDE's on my car were not working. Does anyone know how to fix this? I bought the car with DDE's installed already so I do not know what kind it is nor do I have any manuals or anything. Any help would be appreciated.

I do know that my DDE's have the remote function.(?) When I unlock my car it fades on and when locked it fades off.

If the whole right side is out, then it sounds like a ballast went bad. But, you will want to follow all the wires, and make sure that there are no shorts anywhere and nothing has arched and caught fire or any of that stuff. If all the wiring looks good, then just unplug the right side and plug them into the left side ballast and see if they work. If not, then you have blown both rings...very unlikely...or you have just missed a short somewhere in the left side system.

Thanks for the reply. I switched the ballasts from the right to the left and vice versa and your are right, the ballast is broken since my left one doesn't work now after the ballast switch. Do you know where I can get the ballast? And are all ballasts the same for the different type of DDE's since I don't know exactly which one I have.

Yeah, you can get them from Umnitza or JLevi, just take a couple close up pics of the rings and the wiring and post them up and the people on the forum or I can tell you which rings you have. Glad that you figured out the problem.
