First detail for my 1 month old

A little background - Through the years I've been picking up some detailing knowledge, slowly progressing from going through the carwash, to using cleaner wax at home to using glaze and a nice Carnauba. I have a Jet Black 1999 323i. When I wanted to get that nice clean look and protect the car I would wash, glaze with Zymol glaze (Zymol stuff smells so nice), then wax with P21S. I really like the deep shine after that.

Now I have a new car, a Carbon Black 2006 M3. So I figured I try and take my detailing to the next level. So I purchased a PC 7424, Klasse AIO, and Klasse HGSG. I figured some people would be curious to see photos of the progress. And I am curious myself to see if I can see a difference after the different stages.

So I am going to post pics of just wash, after AIO, and after each of 3 coats of HGSG.

Here are some pics of the car right after a wash about 1 month ago.

Here are some pics after Klasse AIO.

One thing I don't like about pics on the Internet is that they make almost anything look good. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow I will post pics of the car after 1 coat of Klasse HGSG.

First and foremost great purchase!

The car definitely looks much better with the AIO, can't wait to see more pics. If you have any detailing questions you can post it in the "Ask A Detailer" section of this forum or contacting us directly at www.detailedimage.com

As you apply more coats of the HGSG I think you'll see more depth in the paint. The car looks great again and I think its only going to keep looking better. Keep up the good work!

Here's some pics after the second coat of HGSG. Since the weather has decied to get colder two coats will be it. I'm happy with the results. I think going with the PC 7424 and the Klasse products have been a good choice, although I will try another sealant because HGSG takes a lot of effort to remove.

I think the car looks fantastic, but then again its and M3 how could it not look that way. The HGSG can be a time commitment but it is one of the most durable sealants on the market. Another option is to use the Menzerna FMJ which can be put on top of the AIO or used by itself. Thats one of my favorites because of how easy it is to use and the great shine it leaves behind. If you want a carnauba wax I would get either the P21S Carnauba Wax or the NEW Poorboy's World Natty's Blue Paste Wax thats designed for darker colored cars. Both of these products are great finishing touches that really make the paint "pop"!

Nice pics. man Imma have to try that. I notice that when I rinse my car off, the water doesn't bead up. It has a nice shine, but I think wax I used didn't stand up to the heavy rain we've been having.

looks incredible

I picked this up from your post and could not help to comment.

"HGSG takes a lot of effort to remove"

A lot of things can cause this.

1. Temp and humidity
2. Amount of time SG dried on paint, with black I find the longer the better.
3. How much SG was applied. Less is a lot more!
4. Surface prep, since it was new, I guess this is not it.

I use distilled water in a spray bottle if SG is hard to remove.

Here is SG x 3 on dark green. I love it, but find the best photos are after it cures for a day or so, then a wipe down with a quick detailer like eagle one wipe n shine.

the trick to SG is wiping it off almost right away.
