Changing to M oval mirror, install?

Hi. I currently have a 330i with autodimming mirror. I am planning to replace is with an M3 oval mirror with autodimming also. Is this hard to do? Any DIY on this switch?
I am also willing to pay someone for the install, if he/she is interested in helping. Thanks.

If you already have auto-dimming you should just be able to pull the old one off and put the oval on. Five minute job easy and there are several DIYs on the sight. I did a complete swap adding power for the autodim in around 30 mins.

So I guess the clown nose power won't be sufficient for auto dim? Can anyone post some links?

I am glad to hear. The stealership told me it was an hour and a half job...costing me $150+
I guess I have to try to find a DIY...b/c I don't know where to start. If I can't do it, I'll probably just return the mirror, since I am definitely not going through the stealership.

Piece of cake to do, even if you don't have auto-dim already. Simple mirror swap and power/ground to 2 pins. Here is a good link, and check the link I give in response #11.

Good luck!
