My Ride: is dirty
Cleaned the engine bay

Turned out great

I bought a can of foam GUNK out engine degreaser from Autozone for $2.15 and a can of WD-40 for $2.99 According to the directions on the engine degreaser, its suppost to be applied on a cold engine, but since mine was already warm from driving, I thought I'd risk it. I sprayed a layer around the engine and all parts while waiting in line at the local car wash. Let it sit for about 10 seconds and sprayed again until all the can was empty. Got it nice and good. Luckly the person in front of me took awhile, so the degeaser went to work while I let my engine sit while it was off. As soon as it was my turn, I drove in, shut off the engine, opened my hood, put the quarters into the slot, and off I go spraying the engine down in the presoak mode. I did not cover anything, thinking that since the intake snorkel is pointed downwards in front of the grill, there isn't a chance that it'd be sucked into the engine if I avoid that section. I just made sure to avoid spraying the exposed electronics, only giving them a slighty mist in the presoak mode. I let it sit for awhile while I went ahead and washed my rims/tires while I was at it. Once I got done, I went ahead and used the spot-free rinse mode since it also is a low-pressure spray. I went home with the engine bay, making sure that I wash out all the soapy foam. Once my time ran out, I drove it outside to the parking lot to let the engine dry with the hood open. I quickly sprayed the engine engine bay everywhere with WD-40 and started up the engine again while I vacuumed the car. Once I was done, I went ahead and used a towel to rub the soaked in WD-40 around and got just about everything visible spotless. Here are the pics, well worth the effort and is super easy to do. Its too bad I didn't have any before pictures, but trust me, it wasnt pretty before.

Looks hot...I'd be too paranoid though to spray a whole can worth in there and then spray the whole thing with water....looks great though.

Yeah just spray it all around and let it soak in while it dries. Then go ahead and wipe it down with a towel. As long as you use the presoak or spot free rinse and not the power wash, you'll be fine. Its really hard to get it into the intake snorkel as well, unless you're pointing water directly into the snorkel.

Thanks guys, it turned out amazing.
