How to clean rear brake calipers???

any suggestions appreciated for cleaning and prepping of calipers before painting??

Here's what to do...

Most paint kits will come with a cleaner but if you're doing this on your own; make sure all the brake dust and road grime is off the caliper or else the paint will look like **** when you finish.

Take everything apart and try to remove as much as you can with a fine metal brush or very stiff nylon brush.

Then give it a good spray down with Simple Green or 409...or some cleaner. Keep rinsing it until the caliper is spotless. Remember...you do not want your base coat on a dirty surface.

Let dry
