paint protection noob here. should i wax car before its application?.....
my car is brand new. i picked it up last wed. and the dealer just washed the car prior to my picking it up.
i am planning on getting paint protection film, specifically avery's stoneshield film. so, should i put a layer or several layers of wax on? i was assuming that it would be best not to. but i want to see what y'all's recommendation is. TIA. |

so i guess if i definitely go with it, i will take the car as is. i will of course wash her just before. i have a tentative appt. tomorrow PM. the local shop here is custom cutting the film, in their words, in such a way to provide "wrap around" coverage and not in pieces as some pre-cut kits are. i am also getting some custom film that they use in nascar for the windshield. my B5 S4 windshield took a beating here in NC for some reason even before the car was lowered. i think llumar makes that particular film. i have seen it on cars and figured it is worthwhile esp. since it is included thanks! |
