OCD/Detailed Image, please help
Hi,
tomorrow I am planning on a full detail for my new M3. I have some Zaino products (clay, and polish, wash, etc). My concern is removing any wax that the dealer may have put on before I picked it up. I have read many bad things about using Dawn (which Zaino recommends), so I am wondering what i can use to get the wax off. Will clay work by itself? From searching I know that Klasse AIO, etc, will work but I need something I can buy local as I don't have time to order. Any ideas? Thanks much! |

Dawn works great. I wouldn't use it every day, but to remove wax, it is not going to hurt anything if you use it a couple times a year.

Using dawn once in a while to strip off wax is ok, but generally speaking, avoid using it on a regular basis. Any chemical or abrasive polish will strip off any old wax left behind. There are plenty of options at the local store, I personally would probably go with 3M or certain Meguires polishes if you are looking to pick up locally.
Let us know if you need any help with anything else. Sincerely, George @ DI
