Trunk sets off Alarm. How to??
Does anyone know if the alarm can be set to go off if the trunk is opened before you disarm the alarm? If so, how do you do it? The dealer says no but I remember someone saying that it can be done and the dealer always says no. I want the alarm to go off if you hit the trunk button or if it's opened by force/jimmed before alarm is turned off.
thanks Carlos

- When unlocking the trunk by the key blade (NOT the remote) and that is after the car was previously locked, than that will triger the alarm and start flashing the lights too .... is that what you are refering ?!
ps: Not sure if that was the correct way , but here you go : --- from VERTICAL (normal) position on the key turning to the right (horizontal) that is for the valet lock .... K --- from the VERTICAL (normal) position on the key turning to the left (horizontal) that is for "manual" way to UNLOCK the trunk lid and by that the alarm (if the car is equipped with alarm ) will start sounding and the lights flashing ...... it is not the same as/if compared to the door cylinder (driver side one) when unlocking to turn the alarm OFF at the same time ....... ! 3C =============== 330CIC280A6QTC2.8 Last edited by 3c; 01-07-2003 at 12:16 AM. |
