Question Car Audio questions??

I'm thinking about doing car audio. What amps/speakers/subs should I look at? Right now I'm thinking about getting an a/d/s amp and JL steathboxes. Not sure about the front speakers. I want to spend less then $1500. I want to keep the stock CD player.

I haven't looked into car audio in a while. The setup in my last car was MB quartz and JL subs. The MB quartz were to bright for me.

depends how crazy u wanan go u can get a 1-2 g system or go all out between 10-20gz like wut im completing now, sure supercharer would be awesome but i got too many tickets plus dont wanna hafta pay for parts the forced induction will wear

I have a 2001 330c1 with the stock head unit. I have replaced the fronts with a/d/s 345is components and added 2 a/d/s 310rs.2 subs in the trunk. I have 2 RF amps, a bd500 for the subs and a power 800 for the components.

I drove the 330ci to work today and I was sitting in the install bay thinking my Q series quarts were pretty bright. My installer said to turn down the gains. He did, sucker, and its help a lot. In my other car Ima do a system to, within a few weeks...I think ima go with PSD series quarts and two more JL 10w3's maybe back to the single 12W3...

My old MB quartz were crazy bright. I had the gain turned all the way down on them. I want to go with a smoother sounding speaker.

What kind of amp are you running?

in my current system PPI, in my other cars new system ima go with JL audio 300/4 if I decide to change out the rear speakers also. If I just change the front to Quarts then ima use JL 300/2. and JL 250/1 if I do a single 12W3. if I do 2 10W3's then JL 500/1.
