How to fix a burned leather on the sit?

Hello guys! I have a problem. This is a long story but my mechanic managed to burn sit in my 323i with an acid . The burn is almost circular and about 2 inch in diameter. Has anybody tried one of this liquid leather or simply leather repair kid to fix something like this? These kids cost almost nothing which make my somewhat suspicious. Can you suggest something else to fix this problem (other than to change a mechanic which I'm going to do anyway)? Thanks a lot!
