Problem with angel eyes
Hi guys,
i was driving last night and i noticed that my angel eyes are not on ( reflection from the car infront of me ) the problem with it is that the wiring that goes to the battery is ripped. So the wire that actually powers the lights is stripped from that little circle thing that's hooked up to the battery and holds it, any ideas on how to fix this problem? please help!

strip the wire and put a new ring terminal on it. make sure you crimp it well so this problem doesn't happen again. you can pick up a box of terminals for a few bucks at any hardware / auto parts store. make sure you get the right gauge for your power wire and large enough ring terminal to fit your battery.

Yup you are just going to have to repair that connection. Nothing you can't pick up at Radio Shack.

Hey guys,
thanks alot for all your quick responses, i changed the ring and for the hell of it i changed the fuse aswell, went to turn on my car and noticed that the angel eyes still dont work, looked at the fuse and the middle portion was disconnected/broken, so im guessing it keeps blowing fuses. how do i fix this guys?

if it's blowing fuses then it's shorting out somewhere. Check your power wire to make sure there are no exposed wires that can be touching the body of the car. Also check all the wires leading into and out of the inverters for any damage to them that is allowing them to have exposed wires. Look at the little black connectors that connect to the ring wires and make sure they aren't damaged either. Im pretty sure you will find something with a little investigating.
let us know what you find. |
