need help with these codes please

hello fanatics....can any body tell me what these codes mean?
p1188-02 sensors
p1189-02 sensors
p0170-fuel trim
p0173fuel trim
p1140- maf sensor
p1622-thermostat
i have been having p1188 p1189 p1622 ever since i put my asa sk1 in...but just recently i just got the other codes... does any body know what they mean or what is causing this??

i just recently extended my maf wires with 18AWG (.08mm2) 100% tinned copper...so i was just wondering if the wires that i used was causing p1140... is there a specific wire that i need to use for the maf sensor??

my car goes into limp mode every time i open her up (hit 6.5k RPM) but if i drive it normal everything seems to be fine, but i can still here it missing...for example: if i let it idle and rev it up to 2k it will misfire, bogging noise..

can some one please help me get rid of these codes...
thank you very much and mahalo from HAWAII -justin

Hey Justin,

Is this a kit from technik?? Have you changed your plugs? what kind of coils? bremi? bosch? as for extending the maf wire, did you source out a new resistor from radioshack? How come your not calling techinik for some support>?

i really appriciate your help jason... i would have brought my car to the shop but since i live on the big island of hawaii (island that doesnt have $hit!!) nobody here wants to touch it.....or the labor price is about $150 an hour...and thats still a shop that is not familar with SC BMWs or after market touchED vehicles...

i am not sure what is going on but i am in despret needs of help...but dont want to waste my money on some one that doesnt no $hit (talkn about the mechanics here)

Dont be scurred to call technik Mike and Zolti are like the nicest guys out there(really). Its quite a feat that you installed it yourself . When technik put on my kiT, it threw codes for misfires at high rpm . Zolti swapped out the plugs (he also coated them nicely with some anti -seize stuff) and replaced my coils because cyclinder 5 was misfiring. After that scary incident with codes and some extra sets of codes thrown because I told zolti to weld the resistors to the maf( indicated on the manual for the regualr stg 1 and not needed for stg 2) I haven't had any problems. Maybe your o2 sensors need replacing? As for the resistor, you can buy a pack of assorted resistors at radioshack,

...I just talked to zolti on the phone.

their sk+ kits do not require a resistor. Only the ESS tx-1 "sk+" kits need these resistors.

I already told him your going to call He said no problem at all..

if you don't have their number just pm me and I'll let you know
