Solution(s) to: Opening Headlight-Housing Problem?

I want to either
1. swap out my facelift coupe's front amber inserts for clears (can get clears from a local)
OR
2. just take out the amber inserts and drive without them...(got front LED turn signal bulbs)

my dilemma is that I have LaminX film (costed me $40+) on my headlights, and I don't think I can bake them (right?)...and I don't have access to-or know how to operate-a heat gun does anyone have a solution for me?

Check the specs of the film. How high of a temperature can it withstand?

DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN.

You can use a blow dryer though.....the real risk with the heat gun is that you will overheat the headlight. Even with the blow dryer you want to be careful and get a lot of movement - but thats what the original DIY's listed as a method for getting the headlights open, baking is just faster/more consistant heating.

if I use a blowdryer, about how long do I need to heat the glue for (assuming I'm moving the blower around as consistent as I can)?

I couldn't tell you - never actually done that myself, but the installation instructions for the very DDE's you bought say to use a blow dryer. The site is ona taiwanese server so I rehosted the image, kindof hard to read but here you go:
