Cold weather and DDE's
i've been seeing some posts on here and elsewhere about cold weather affecting the performance of DDE's. As a Pred. Chromium owner, is there anything I should be aware of?

I recently experienced cold issues last thursday night. One of my rings looked dim on startup, after about 15 minutes of driving it brightened up though. I wouldn't worry about it.

It happens with all CCFL based kits, the rings get cold over night and when you first unlock your car you will notice that 1 or 2 rings are dim. Right when you start the car or drive it around for a bit the rings will receive full 12v from the alternator and warm right up.
We do have Cold Weather Package ballasts the eliminate the issue but also decrease Predator Chromium ring life span from 20,000 hours to 10,000 hours. |
