Question Car Competition Ideas Needed!

This is totally in the wrong place mods move to where ever you think it should be.

Okay so here is the deal... you have 4 days to pit two teams against each other in a hotrod or chopper based competition... The Competition needs to be live, fun and engaging to watch, and have some dramatic end... What do you do?

I was thinking giving two teams identical engines and having them mod and tune it over the 4 days then do a dyno test to see who got the biggest gains... But watching someone work on an engine is well, not all that thrilling... But it the outcome works and the dyno runs wo8uld be dramatic.

On the chopper side, I was thinking some sort of metal forming competition, Here is a flat sheet of steel, make me something. But metal forming is again a slow process.

Having the teams actually build something that runs (hotrod or chopper)seems impossible... right?

Thoughts, Ideas? Any help on this would be very appreciated.

One more question... do you watch shows like American Chopper, Pinks, Monster Garage, etc? If you don't what is the type of person you think does? Yes, I am asking you to stereotype/profile.
