getting huper optik 30% medium

I guess after reading a lot of the tint postings, I am going with huper optik 30% medium all around.

Silver gray 330i zhp, blk interior. 30% medium or what they call it is the darkest for huperoptik.

I am going to automall tint factory in fremont. They quoted me $550 cash for all windows (except the moonroof and windshield)

give me your comments

Expensive.

#1, Rocky mountain Tint in Livermore is famous for doing great quality tints. Lots of Bay Area fanatics, including myself (3 cars done there) are extremely impressed with the work. I would definitely recommend there instead.

#2 I got 30% huper all around on my 330i for $400.

#3 My wife got pinnacle ceramic on her 325ci, and it's a much better alternative to huper. Huper is thick and produces a "flaming" effect on the rear window since it's hard to stretch. Pinnacle doesn't have this problem and have the same heat resistant characteristics as Huper. Huper is designed for storefront windows, Pinnacle is for cars. I would get Pinnacle instead. They cost about the same.

You're welcome to check out what they look like on our cars.

Wow I don't know anything about the huper, but I paid $180 for 20% all around. It's a quality job with a lifetime warranty. Anyone care to explain what's so great about this particular tint?

usually the more expensive tints have a MUCH better heat rejection..
say a 35% tint will have the same heat rejection rating as a 10% of the cheaper tint.. ceramic and metallic costs more than dyed tints

Ink: Cheapest, no radio interference, not very good heat rejection, fades (turns purple) after 3+ years.
Metallic: No fading, may interfere with radio reception, radar detectors, has a chrome sheen when seen from the outside.
Ceramic: Most expensive, no radio interference, no fading, can go lighter with same heat rejection property (50% ceramic is about equal to 20% ink.).

Those LED are for coupes. You can tell from from the white/red pattern. Ours is red/white/red.

$550 for Huper Tint? Automall Tint Factory is a RIP OFF!!!! It should only be $400 max for a coupe even with Huper even today at 2011.
