Are these eBay Angel Eyes any good??

I want to get rid of the factory HID's and install some angel eyes in place of them. However, I don't want to cut corners and install poor quality, cheap parts. The seller claims that these are as good as OEM, and will never leak. Here's the link to the auction....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...6939752&rd=1,1

He has good feedback, and his customers appear to be pleased with his products. Has anyone on this forum purchased these headlights from this seller?

so you have the factory xenons? if so, just buy a different bulb from one of the sponsors and buy some predators or something. if you were looking to get xenons to replace your halogens then those are fine. they are the depo projectors that umnitza sells.

Yeah, I have the factory HID headlights. The only problem is that my car has 68k miles on it, and the headlights look kinda old. Like the plastic on the inside has this hazy stuff on it which doesn't look very good. I would rather buy these and have a new, fresh start. Plus, I can probly sell me OEM HID's on ebay for like $150, don't you think?

Looks safe, they are DEPO as stated on the plastic. I'd trust them, BUT to be absolutely certain you are getting good product, order the same thing from Umnitza (see sig)

If you are going to spend that much on ebay, might as well get a set of our Projector46's which are complete headlight replacements that upgrade your stock halogen headlights to projector based xenons with built in predator series angel eyes. We exclusively use ProLumen HID kits in our headlights and offer a full lifetime warranty on the system should anything go wrong. Installation is 100% plug and play and comes with a full guide to help you. Should you run into any problems, you can always contact us via email, phone or AIM.

Here is the product page for more information:

since you have the factory HID. just go ahead and buy the bulb if you want a different color or something. the plastic lens can be removed and replace. you can get it at pelican parts or the dealer. then just get some predator chromiums from jlevi and you're set. that way you don't have to spend so much. OEM is the best quality you can get so if you can, i would try to keep it by doing what i have advised above.

As silliediot said, since you have factory HIDs I recommend you go with a simple bulb replacement such as our D2S bulbs. You can then purchase our Predator Chromium angel eye kit for your factory headlights to achieve the same effect.

^ buy the bulbs and angels from them so you can get them both at one place. i highly recommend them over umnitza, plus they seem to ship out quick.

This makes sense, however I am not much of a DIY guy. Even if I was, I still wouldn't feel very comfortable taking apart my factory headlights. So, to break it down, I would be looking at $199 for the Predator Chromium angel eyes, $150 for the bulbs, and about $60 for the new plastic cover? That already brings me to $410 + whatever it's going to cost to have them installed. It would probly end up being more expensive than just buying two brand new headlights...I do like the idea of keeping everything OEM though...hmmmm....

I have halogens, which are so bad. BMW said they don't make a xexon upgrade for me. I want to shoot em. Go with JLevi, they'll never do you wrong. If you going to spend your money, JLevi is where it's at, gl with your choice.

your car already has projectors. all you need is an HID kit and reflash and you're set

well try using meguairs plastix on the lens first. see if you could get it to be clear. if so, then that will save you some money right there. and the angel eyes, well i'm sure if anything was to go wrong, you'd want some great customer service and a good warranty. if you bought it from ebay, what happens if it breaks? you'll buy another set right? that's more money out of your pocket when you could have done it once the right way. and for the bulbs, i guess you search around. vision bulbs has it for around $100 if you use the "e46fandsct" code. or you could talk to jlevi and see if they could give you some type of deal.

Thanks for the help sillieidiot. Too bad e46fanatics doesn't have a rep system like my.is. I would definitely give you some +rep for the advice. I think I am going to go with 8000k Chromium dde's. Does anyone know about how much I should expect to pay for installation, and where a good place in Seattle would be to get it done?
