Ha! I don't think my Fluke would have fun measuring around 1200V.

Anyway, got the ballast in last night and did a quick install....THE LIGHT WORKED!!! But the adventure doesn't end there.

Because of my Dinan CAI, I was never able to properly secure the control unit(ballast) and therefore would zip-tie the ballast around the CAI. (messy I know) Before you say anything about mounting the ballast to the two bolts that used to hold the OEM intake, know that the wire going from the ballast to the headlight were about 5in. long. There was no way in hell it was going anywhere but in-between the CAI and headlight. So...

Mod 2: Lengthening the wires that lead to the headlight. First thing, each of the two black wires leaving the ballast have three individual wires within them(green, red, and black). If you disengage the ballast from the plastic module it's attached to you can get a better understanding of this. Second, These individual wires are only 18 gauge so you need to be very careful when stripping the black cover. BE CAREFULL! DO NOT use wire strippers as both the black cover and the smaller wire's casings have become brittle(and not so rubberish(word?)) and any pressure required to pull off the casings(i.e. using the strippers) will damage the wire. Then, trip to Radiojack buy some 18 gauge wire and 12 cylinder connectors, spend $40 because Radioshack knows how to take advantage of people, and you're done.
