ehhh i am so used to driving a sedan i even kinda wish i bought something with 4 doors, i mean i learned teh hard way:

when i took my friends home we so tired so like the guy in shotty gets out and the guy in the back is just too tired to move so he doenst bother movin up to the front, then when i get to his place, guess what, whos gonna open the door?!?!?!?@ yea now i know i have to say "u in teh back u gotta get out now or u wont be able to get out!"

btw, i am not like 6'5, only 5'8 so i was able to work the handle, get it opne a bit, and then my friend just kicked the bottom of the door open with his snow/salt boots and it broke my heart

I would say get the 540. I have driven my dad's 5 a bunch and I think that I like it almost as much if not more than my car. They are both great cars and whichever one you get I am sure you will be very pleased.

whether you're "feeling" it or not, the e39 is going to be an "old" body-style in a few months, i'd go w/ the M3 even though i've always loved e39's w/ the sport package.

540i 6-speed
for a couple reasons, and this is just my opinion.

-V8 performance vs. straight 6, the V8 is always going to push more torque
262 vs. 324

-V8 rumble and sound (including exhaust note), have you ever heard one, those things are phucking raw!

-classic styling, after 7 years of production it still looks good.

-insurance, should be cheaper

-wolf in sheeps clothing exterior - less likely to get pulled over

-the 530i was rated best by consumer reports

-18" M-parallel rims are to die for!

-4 doors

-dashboard, the 5 series dash is the best dash in a BMW today.

If I had the choice, no doubt about it, the 540i

just my opinion....

IM me and I'll tell you why I think you should get the M3... and it's not ordinary reasoning...
Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you're mouthing your words as you read this.
