Hey all. New guy here. Been out of the german car scene for many years driving p.o.s. fords, and chevys. Did the Harley thing for ten years but finally got tired of that. So a few weeks I test drove a used 2003 325i and fell in love. Hell of a car! I was into VW beetles back in the 1980's but this is my first BMW ever. All I can say is I want another one ASAP. Anyway, I'm looking to learn about these cars and look forward to sharing wrenching tips with you guys. The car I bought had 35000 miles on it and is in pretty good shape. The previous owner hit every low object imaginable with the lower part of the front bumper and in the process scrapped the bottom and loosened the wheel splash guards. I already replaced the retaining screws that were missing. She also managed to loose the oil drain access panel. Anyone know where I can buy one? And before I forget, she scrapped the front wheels pretty bad, but I'm working on fixing that and will be installing new rubber all around tomorrow. Got a deal on some BF Goodrich G-Force tires (225/45 ZR 17 w91). Next weekend I'll change the oil because based on the lower front damage, the lady that owned it probably neglected the service. Other than that, the car rides and handles like a dream. I've driven mustangs and camaros, but never a car that handled like this baby.
