255 all around

I have a 02 330ci (stock)....I want to get new rims and tire's.... I was thinking to get 18/8.5 all around with 255/40/18 tires?? not so sure if it will fit but just wanted to ask and see maybe one of you guys already has it done.. let me know what u guys think thanx

255 in the front would not fit. i think 245 is pushing it.. i have 18x8.5 all around and i use 235 40 in the front and it seems like its the most that will go

It's different for every wheel and tire...some people get lucky and get away with it.

Be safe, rather than sorry, and go with the tried and true fitment which is max 235/40/18 in the front.

Got lucky? I did a lot of research before I purchased everything. And it also helped that a friend of mine let me try his set up before hand.

It's all in the wheel width and offset.

That's what I said...his width and offset might not work...so it's not worth taking a risk for.

Any reason you want to do 255 all around? Curious...

My car understeers like crazy at the autocross and I didn't want to make it worse by going with a staggered setup.

So far, my car brakes better, takes corners better, and accelerates faster than with my BBS CH (235/35/19 PZero Neros).
