Offset

Hi all,

The standard offset for e46 16x7 wheel is 47mm.
In my search for new alloys for the summer i want to stay with 16" since they provide the best ride comfort.
I have a really hard time finding aftermarket alloys (Oz, momo, BBS, TSW, Borbet etc) with ET 47. The closest i get is ET 35 or 40.
How much can one deviate from standard ET (=47) without loosing the splendid ride comfort??

ET35 and 40 will work fine. The offsets change as widths vary. The wheels you are finding should be wider than 7"

17" should give you the same/very similar ride comfort

Most aftermarket rim companies are making larger rims so finding a 16" will be tough
