blue corner bulbs, a legal issue?

Have the cops gave you trouble about your blue corner bulbs or taillight bulbs (or even the clear bulbs)? I am thinking of putting the in my car to replace the ambers. I live in rhode island and Im pretty sure its illegal to have blinkers that arent amber but I really like the way the blues look. suggestions welcome

Depends on where you are at, but if a cop is bored or pissed off it isn't going to help. In general blue lights are just asking to be pulled over.

it really depends on the cop. I think the laws in most states says that blinking/lit lights that are red or blue are illegal. My interpretation is if the bulb is blue or red, it should not be a problem as long as when they are on, they emit amber or yellow for the forrward and side facing lights. But again, the cop can be a d!ck and write you up....

blue will be a problem, rear corners in most states can be amber or red, front corners can be amber or white

its up to you, i'm registered in nh, but i go to school/live in ny for 300+ days of the year, so i drive with illegal tint and no front plate and get no problems

i did get pulled over in mass last time i was home for having a dirty licence plate

hey johnston,

do you have the xenons for the fog lights or the blinker lights, because I never knew they had them for the blinkers if thats true.

I'd get bulbs that are silver but blink orange. I'm past the point where I care enough to run hyper white or anything else. I don't want to get pulled over any more.

blinkers are LED, but the color is "xenon white"
fogs are 6000k HID

According to federal DOT regulations, you must have amber or white up front and amber or red in the rear.
