If you are parked outside AWAY from traffic that could be distracted, re-directed, or otherwise affected by the flashing strobes. If there is ABSOLUTELY no way another driver thinks you are using them as warning lights, it is likely legal to use them.

Just because your car is a BMW does not mean it could not be a legitimate emergency vehicle. I've had hidden strobes or other flashing lights in Nissan Altimas, Sentras, a 1980 Mustang, a 1987 Sable, and most recently an Isuzu Trooper. I was licensed, and had to follow strict guidelines for their use.

in NYC they'll impound the car and investigate to see if you've been impersonating a cop. plus massive fines and they might throw you in jail untill they make sure you havent been pulling people over.

old thread... sorry, just had to opinionate again... i know it's illegal, morally wrong and all, but for the big ****-yous against deserving ppl, it's worth the risk imo... (just for fun, haha), but for the sheer exhiliration, like don't give a crap gumball style... man... i'd think doing this to ppl on freeways would be pretty fun, lol

Wow. This is awful. I just puked in my mouth a little.

I never knew anyone would want to do this to their BMW.
