my last E46 i threw down 29K cash but on my 02 M3 my payments are 408.53and the hummer is about the same. A lot of you don't realize unless you have a crap load of cash and investments already if you invest wisely you can actually make money and pay for your interest rates i wouldn't advise throwing 20K+ cash down. Instead make reasonable payments and invest in something.

My insurance is with StateFarm at $188 for every 3 months of coverage, better then anyone I know.

At time of purchase in 2004: 2001 330i $3000 down, $429/mo. for 42 months at 3.4%.
At time of purchase in 2006: 2004 X3 $6000 down, $400/mo. for 48 months

Trick is buying a NICE CPO with less than 10K miles/year and paying off loan early before trading it in. This avoids the severe depreciation after 80K miles (or 8 years of age) and allows you to buy a $50,000 car for half the price.

If you can't afford to maintain your BMW, get rid of it!

insurance rates in FL is double that of Chicago, IL. was paying $74/month for full coverage in Chicago. i guess its from all the old people that can't see but are still driving, illegal immigrants pulling hit and runs because they dont have insurance etc..
