i think he means when you have the heater on. if it gets to hot like that. he opens the back windows to let the cold air in. with those windows you don't get to much air so it cuts the heat down. the air mixes together so the temp. in car is not to hot or cold that way.

and may i say i do the same thing. only i don't have the heater that high. smart way to go. you don't have to fool around with the heater or air condition that way

If you open the drivers window and the opposite rear window you get a more laminar wind flow. Much less noise and turbulence.
