They really don't look as bright as OEM in that video, and in your second video the bulbs on the right hand side look brighter than the LEDs!

I think I'm going to go for OEM, and get the trunk lights as well. 299 is a lot of money but I definitely think OEM is the way forward.

you can still get the discount if you order through email to crevier. give Kevin (or junior) an email at parts@crevierbmw.com with your name and address for the account info and they'll give you a quote. they don't take orders anymore from the "Internet Parts Counter" or give quotes by phone. it all has to be traced through email only now. but they will still ship and discount the order.

Thanks, Alex. I think this is really the best way to go for all coupe owners. I've got an '00 LCM too, so I'll get to test out your resistor/fuse method.

Newbie here. I just read through this whole thread and am trying to figure it out. I checked the build date of my car (2002 330Ci) and it was built in 11/01. Does that mean that all I need is the OEM taillights and nothing else needs to be changed in order for the LEDs to work?

If so, what' the best place to get them?

Thanks!

If that information about build dates is correct, then yes, all you will need is the OEM tailights (and a dealer reflash). I believe you can purchase the kit from any dealer, try Circle or Tischer.
