Reading posts

Just curious to know if people get the full benefit of posts on these forums. Do you read ALL posts in a thread, just read first and last or do you go through and look at poster name and brief comment to determine whether you will read or some other combination. Also do you think you are learning a lot or just hanging out here.

I have the threaded view and read practically all posts in a thread. Waste of time? comments.

x2

Except for MITE46's thread that is hundreds of pages long! I scan through that. I saw where one guy read like every single page and he said it took him like 5 hours......

I read all of the posts so that I don't sound like an idiot responding/commenting on something that has already been addressed/answered.

AMEN.
Now if we could only get more people to do that. I figure if you are going to post, you are obliged to first read.

Edit - by the way, the ignoramus's that annoy me th most are those who actually announce they haven't read anything - "I'm too lazy or dumb read any of this, but I'm going to puke out my ignorant half-baked opinion anyway."
