Help, Different Angel Eyes problem (ECU help)

Hey guys, my predator chromiums went out today (all 4). I have an extra ballast, so i switched one of the ballasts and no luck. I proceeded to check all my wiring (power, ground footwell, etc.) I couldn't figure out the problem. Anyways as I was unlocking the door, my angels flickered a little bit, so i knew they were working. This had me puzzled so i checked the ECU box were i tapped into the red wire with yellow stripes. I took off the T-tap and noticed that the copper wiring was severed with only have of it attached. I reattached the t-tap and noticed that my interior lights didn't go on, but my unlock with my remote key still works.

Finally, my question is, would this be the source of my problem? How would I fix the half-severed red w/yellow stripe wire? Do i have to replace it or can I just solder the wire altogether?

Get some heat shrink tubing about 1.5 - 2 times the side of the wire and see if you can find an uninsulated butt splice. If you can only find insulated (like at wal-mart and stuff) that's fine to, just get bigger heat shrink. Strip both ends of the cut wire and crimp them into the splice. Test it to make sure you got a good connection. THen shrink the tubing over it.

THe *best* way to repair it would be to solder the ends back together and shrink wrap them.... But if you're not good with solder, the above method will work just fine but *may* come lose eventually.
