Lifespan of D2S Bulbs Short? (From JLeviSW)

So last January (2006) I got some 6000k bulbs from Jon to match my DDEs - everything was perfect.

Today I noticed that the driver's-side xenon is out. Just over a year seems short to me, but perhaps I'm mistaken? I always thought that these xenon bulbs essentially never die.

FYI, I haven't yet tried the "bulb swap" to confirm that it is infact a bad bulb. Also, I'm not sure if I have a dash light as I always have dash lights because I've unplugged my high-beams (due to the dealer refusing to deactivate my DRLs here in Canada).

...I guess I just wanted to vent a bit as I'm not too excited to spend another $200 (CDN) on some bulbs that will die again in a few years. Maybe I ought to try another brand or *gasp* sponsor?

Anyone else noticed a short lifespan? I don't even use them that much...

PS - Jon/Nick, any word on the DDE ballast hold-up?

Hey man- I think Jon will take care of ya. I am fairly sure they offer lifetime on their bulbs Have you tried shooting them an email or calling? That would be my first suggestion before buying a new set.

Whew! That would be a huge relief. I've had awesome service from them in the past, and I imagine that it should continue. I'll email them tomorrow; I know they're busy after B'fest weekend.

Thanks for the response and encouragement.

Just shoot us an email, we can get you a replacement. These bulbs should last about the OEM lifespan of 8+ years.
