HID kit...is this a good deal?

hm.. well anyone whos seen them doesnt think theyre bad either.. so do you just read posts on the internet and evaluate situations? or have you actually seen HID's in bmw halogen housings?

Yes - I have seen them as well as countless other instances of HID bulbs incorrectly retrofitted to halogen based reflector housings. What I do is learn, study, and understand things. I also type in English.

You cannot evaluate your headlight performance by simply "looking at them" either. This is kind of a physics issue. Do yourself a favor and read the link. Just do it.

Your halogen housings are designed for a halogen based bulb. They are not designed for the 3x light output of a xenon bulb. The issue is not so much light dispersion, although the beam pattern is not as crisp as a projector setup, but glare caused towards oncoming traffic. Projectors have a specific cutoff that prevents the glare from being an issue. Halogen reflectors simply reflect the light everywhere with no specific cutoff which can lead to serious blinding issues for drivers coming towards you.

If aimed correctly, you can make it work in your halogen housings. However, it is certainly not the most optimal setup and you would be better served with a set of projectors.

oh course projectors would be better. im planning on getting some. right now im fine with mine. i think acura headlights are twice as harsh as mine when coming towards me.

and im sorry i dont bring a tape measurer out to measure the light output of my HID's as oppose to projectors..

and im not typing in english? please let me know what language im speaking because i guess i have been lost for the last 18 years.

The point is that the upgrade is not an upgrade at all - and the light output is diminished and your headlights are in worse shape than they started as far as lighting up the road. You are obviously a very wise 18 year old, though, and have a lot to teach the world for sure.

Incidentally, is obsurd similar to absurd? You type like you have a learning disability. The lack of punctuation, capitalization, misspelling, and all around grammar - it makes it harder to read.

i totally understand.. but compared to my halogens these are definately brighter and put more light on the road.. i was mostly just going for the look because i cant stand the yellow, just like anyone else.
