Aftermarket Headlights

Has anyone switched out stock to an aftermarket brand, which ones are preferred, I was looking at some one piece headlight and turn signal units that also had angel eyes preinstalled, any suggestions??

that said, i went from oem halogens to Projector46s with 6k xenon angel eyes, 6k xenon low beams, and 6k xenon fog lights.. i also bought 6k led turn signals for the front,.

call up the guys at jlevisw.com and they will help you out

angel eyes, turn signals, and fogs

full setup at night

Hey when you did that, did you need to re-program your ECU? Are you getting any bulb failure lights on the dash?
I'm thinking about it but would rather keep halogens and have no annoying llow beam failure messages like I had on my e36

if your wanting to get rid of bulb failure put a resistor in and youre good to go

Yeah so I get the whole search bit now, so I dont plan on making the same mistake again, but WTF do you just go around looking for things to make comments on and be a pen15???

Regarding resistors, LCM flash, etc. It seems to differ from model of e46 to the next on what you should do to cure operating problems. For instance, it seems for a facelifted e46 you should NOT flash the LCM, but use capacitors to help with flickering. I think the earlier models you pull fuse xx to get rid of bulb warnings, etc. It will differ depending on the model.

how bout vibrating hid lights ? (appears only at the left headlight) made a topic and they told me to get LCM flashed, 2000 318i , so what u advise?

vibrating? I think you mean flickering

no, its clearly not a flicker. its vibrating...the lights stays on, it's just vibrating, the case on LED, now thats flicker...
