Help determine which angel eyes these possibly could be?

Hello, one of my angel eyes are dim. And it seems like either the inverter or the bulb is bad. I haven't determined which one yet, but either way it seems like we would have to order something anyways. Just to get it out of the way, I've look at the sticky, but I can't determine which one my set is myself. I bought the car as is, so I don't know which set the previous owner bought.
Here are some pics to hopefully help. The last 2 pictures are just for Tyler at UED. He's the one that's been helping me troubleshoot my problem. I just wanted to show how the side that has the problem is connected.

Whoever installed the kit on your car before did a terrible job. Either that or it is a really bad kit to begin with. The ballast and rings should be connected with removal black plugs not those strange crimp connections. From the inverter picture and ring pictures I dont see any signs that show who makes the kit. It looks like a generic Raptor DDE kit by the style of the ring (thin) The inverter seems plain, not one I've seen before.

Well, the weird thing is, that the other side that works fine, does have the black plugs. So it's like they tried to fix the problem before. And there wasn't any caps on it before, it was just poorly taped. When my friend looked at it, he couldn't figure out the problem, so he just capped everything off and put the black tape back on that one so we knew that was the one that was touching the metal pipe right next to it.

Those look like one of the ebay kits without a harness. Seems like it was just rigged to your parking lights./

Hmmm...damn. I guess the only way I can hopefully know is ask the previous owner. And if it is ebay, Does anyone know if they do sell rings or inverters that can make it work once I do find the problem? Maybe I'll have to ebay it?

i would buy a new kit of raptor dde's. long run youll be happier for having something newer (warranty'd), and the peace of mind that you wont be hunting for parts again the next time one goes out.

That doesn't look like an ebay kit to me, the ebay kits are typically white wires from the rings with a PU tube around one of the wires.

Further, you can't tell if it has a harness or not because the red/brown inverter wires are shown for about an inch, not near enough to tell what they are connected to.

FURTHER...the top of the ring makes it either a raptor or PC, and the diameter of the ring once again eliminates almost all ebay kits.

I can't see the back of the ring to tell if its a raptor or PC, blue wires on the CCFL's makes me think its probably a raptor kit. Not 100% sure on that though as I don't know if any other kits have ever sold with that ring style and blue leads.

It does look like it was poorly rigged... That being said, you can order a ballast from vibelights.com for $4.50 to see if it fixes it. All of these ballasts are the same inside... they just have a different case/decals on them. Kinda like generic cereal vs. name brand stuff. :-)

Actually Tyler have you taken a look at the Ebay kits? They have attempted to replicate the truss bar from the top of the Chromiums and Raptors. A poor replication but a replication nonetheless.

Sigh,

Those kits are the original DDE Lighting with an "enhanced" cover. They are 8000K because that is the color of ring I chose when I was selling those.

Get rid of the kit, it's not a well put together setup and there are much better alternatives - you would qualify to get the upgrade kit:

The inverters are universal as long as they are CCFL DDE rings so you can get your inverters from any of our fine sponsors. Your best bet would be if you really like Angel Eyes to just buy a brand new kit and have it installed the right way.
