Fixing Angel Eyes

Hi Everyone,

I don't really know much about BMW parts, but I drive an '02 325i, which my brother gave me. My angel eyes stopped turning on, and I was wondering if anyone knew why that might be and how to fix that problem. My brother now drives an M3, lives 2,500+ miles away from me, and he doesn't seem to know what's wrong.

Also, I recently got the car back from the auto shop, but it was only to replace my driver side door and the M-tech front bumper (bad accident). I don't want to go back to the auto shop and ask them what's wrong because it's a 20+ mile drive and horrible with L.A. traffic). If it helps, I have posted a snapshot (I adjusted the contrast and sharpness of the pic to help see the details) of some of the wiring under the hood. Can anyone offer any help? The angel eyes are one of my favorite aspects of my car. Thanks.

It could be your ballasts, those black boxes that you took a picture of. They fail from time to time and just need replacement.

you can get new ballasts for $4.50 each at vibelights.com (the ccfl ballasts). the connectors will most likely be different, so you'll just have to solder or splice the wires together, but they work great.
