lets put some more pics online of the trunk install.
this time more in aluminium then CF

Started to make a hinge. He went to see the store, but they didn't had what he needed. So got some aluminium ..

and made it myself

a big inox bar from 15mm

A little problem, is that he didn't managed to mount is 100% flat. You can see it @ the pic
With a little filler, problem should be solved.
onder de alu en klaar is kees.

The meaning of this hinge, is that the amplifier can go up. So the crowbar needed to be something nice.
Cause the crowbar wil be very shot/small, he made it strong enought. (15mm thickness)

Drawed model and then in CNC, and sawed it out

there are nicer things in life to do, but when it's finished, it was worth the work in his eyes.

At this pic, you can see he need to shorten it one more centimere. Cause he's at the bottom.

Against the alu tube, he's going to weld a piece to, where he can hook the amp on.

Then I started to tair apart the Alpine CD player.
Did away the front, and made some trolleys to fasten the thing.

He also made a L &R alu profile, to fit the sides.
Took some time to made it exactly the same at both sides.

here you can see the front of the CD player

this should be the AMP

NOTE: guys, If my english isn't that understandable, please say. Some words we use in Dutch, are difficult to translate. Especially technical terms and material. Sometimes I use an online translater, but think that can be very litteraly.

got out the back...
cut out the ski-hatch, so the bass gets better in the interior.

here a pic of how the amplifier should sit.
The wooden block you see, is a dummy.
These are the correct mesurements of a DUAL FOCAL AMP who will get in there in the future.
For now, the PPI gets in there.
He made the BOX so, he has no problem later to switch amp's. The only thing he'll have to do again, is make a new plate on top.
But that's not the end of the world, is it.

The ALU- box where the amp should come is foreseen with the hinge.
This one, he screwed on. He's going to try it'l go this way.
If not, he can always weld it on...
He doesn't want to try it now, cause he's afraid it all bend of the heat.
But it's a final option...

Will look like......

Should look like this when it's open.
Of it will open that far, he's not sure. not at all.
We'll see when the project continues..

That there will be a motor in the process, you'll know already, i think.
He made the bobbin/coil a bit smaller.

Then he made a firm trolley, to attach an engine on.
He does not know what engine to use, but he already sure it can hold the most heavy ones.

It can cause another problem, cause the crowbar isn't long at the place of the amp. It's gonna take a lot of force to lift this ****.

Later he will decide what engine to use, and where/how to place it.
