Great DIY. I'm planning on adding fogs when I find a pair for a good price.
What is the wiring that I can buy from BMW? (I'm electrically impaired) Also, does anyone know the P/N for the fog light switch? Thx |

61129410798 = harness
61131372626 = fuse 61368373700 = relay 63178380056 = clamps, you need 2 and 61131387150, 63178380056,... comb connector, and some clicp I forgot the number,..you need. I just installed them 2weeks ago and happy with that.

UPDATE:
I just want to let everyone know that Igotissue66 sent me his virtually brand new foglights for free. His actions reminds of how e46fanatics used to be when members were always helping each members. nowadays it seems like everyone is more concerns with the OFF TOPIC page. Thanks again!!! |

an esay way to do it is to get from your dealer the complete harness , that cost me around 30 bucks + 13 the relay
part number for harness is 9410798 |

yep you can get the harness for 30 bucks but the module switch has also be replaced and that unit cost almost 60 buck.. something like that. It also has to be codering whit proper keys. I did my foglights my self to whit a cable and fuse whit a switch, it works perfectly
![]() . Great write up !.. this is a alternative for those people they will not pay for the hole scene that bmw sets up only for 2 fogslights. I think the only reason that they must codering the fogslight module only for your cluster instrument sign!.. |

I didn't think the harness was that cheap? Last I recall when I did this they sold the foglight kit for a couple hundred. Jared

I found one on ebay that looks like it might work for me, but it was a part that was ended in 03/2000, and my car is an 05/2000. Should I be concerned? (And what's the verdict on programming?) |

Finally got around to doing the DIY, but the circlebmw link everyone has posted doesn't work.
So far, I'm just wondering about where to put the wire harness between the lights and where it goes into the cabin--one of the other DIY's say "along the radiator," but does anyone have a picture or more detailed instructions? Or, if anyone happens to have a copy of the instructions from circlebmw, that would be awesome. Thanks! |
