PS2 Install?

Im looking into putting a PS2 in the ride, in the near future. i took my friends out to the car, it wont fit in the glovebox, i dont want it in the trunk cause alot of people ride with me, and it would get used to much. anyone done any custom work in the glovebox either to the car or the PS2 itself. I knew a guy once who built his own housing for a regular PS1. it was sweet. anyone done anything like this? Pics? How-To's?

kC,

i am about to install the PS 2 into my car (on wednesday) and the only location i could come up with, is in the trunk. we couldn't get it to fit in the glove box and it won't fit under the seats either. so the only other choice would be under the glovebox (by the passenger's footwell area), but that poses a risk to thieves who might break into your car for the PS 2 and other goodies that they want to help themselves to.

in the end i decided to go with the trunk install. it may be annoying having to go back there and change games, but i think in the long run it is the best solution. tell me what you decide to go with. i would love to hear some other alternatives too.

Here's what a member did......it may look better if your have black interior.

It's similar to what I have, but without the cover. Surprisingly, it's not that intruding. It's also kinda hidden from prowling eyes outside the car.

that looks good, vvtivanos, but how it is mounted? is it screwed from underneath into the glove box? i have black interior so i think that might look really good in my car and i dont think it will be too noticible from the outside.

if youre good..you can atcually take apart the system and see that its pretty modular..so im sure you can design ur own casing and move the inputs and drive bay to fit your needs

That PS2 install was from "John from Jersey's" car... back last summer when he had the sedan still..

He's on here all the time, ask him, it came real nice.. think it's going into his new M now.. lucky bastard!
