push ups/pull ups/dips.. get you bigger?

So i was thinkin, these 3main exersizes..push ups, pull ups and dips work many muscles.... if u were to just do these exersizes in a row.. for example pull ups, push ups, dips.. rest 2mins then do that again.. until u cant do any of them anymore and your muscles just give out.

will u get bigger? or will u just get more cut and stronger?

add weight to increase resistance, and yea, it will be able to get you big. But doing high reps until your body gives out wont get you that much bigger. You'll build enough muscle to get you by then it just turns into an endurance type of workout.

^^ + 1, what he said. Do it to start a foundation , get some muscles, and than second you notice the difference from muscle building, start jumping into heavier things etc

I've gotten somewhat bigger by increasing the functional weight by doing declined pushups. You can also add ankle weights to your dips/pullups (at the risk of looking like a foolio). That being said, you can never get "huge" using your just a little more than your own body weight.

I have always wondered this. These exercises are the core for guys in jail and some of them get huge. I saw a show on a guy in maximum lockup and wasnt allowed into general population. Because he was so bad he had no access to weights in the yard. All he did was pushup, situps, dips, and things of that nature and the guy looked like a freak. How does this happen.

Furthermore, what I don't understand is how guys in jail get huge off the kind of food they have access to.

I spend hundreds of dollars a month on lean meats & supplements but somehow these guys manage to get huge off powdered eggs and ham sandwhiches???

I don't get it.

If I had to pick only 3 exercises to build a well balanced body I would say:

dips
deadlift
curls

that takes care of traps, bis, chest, tris, calves, quads, lower back, upper back, forearms, shoulders.

deadlifts make me cry. Actually, they aren't so bad, but they are definitely not my favorite work out of the day.

dont deadlift if you dont have someone teaching you the proper technique
you'll throw your back out

the honest to god sacred workouts

powercleans <- will make you a beast
pull up with negative resistance
bench
squat

and do bench with a swiss ball on your back
and squat on a half-swiss ball with the plastic facing up

core workouts in itself
and then maybe do some tv-watchers if you wanna do more core/abs

the best supplement for cheap you can possibly have is a good diet, it'll make more of a difference than anything

and maybe some NOXplod
or hgh haha

do you guys bench using the machines? ive been going diff times than my friends lately so i dont really have a spotter for the normal bench. the weights feel a bit easier tho (im guessing because you dont have to stabilize it yourself)

do DB bench
it uses some muscles within your shoulders to stabilize the free weights

you might have to supplement more pec workouts because db bench (i feel) doesnt work pecs as much as straightbar bench

do single arm pec crossovers. they're killer
and fly's are always good.
