I read somewhere that you can make your multifunction buttons on your steering wheel work with aftermarket HU. I have an Alpine CDA-7998 and would love to still be able to use my audio controls on my steering wheel. Could anyone shed some light on this issue please
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I thought it was wires that run from the steering wheel buttons directly to the HU, but it turns out to be infra red as a method of transmission.
Where would one put the interface then? And the important question is where can I get one and how much? Any DIY on installation? |
