Halo Ring Outtage ...wierd

So i recently got P46's and Halo rings with them and after the install they all worked fine..nothing wrong at all...couple hours later when i went to turn on my car...one wasn't working..so i thought maybe the bulb just went..so i got a replacement bulb from bimmian under warranty and just installed it today since i haven't had time since then...put it in..worked not problem..again couple hours later went to turn on my car and the same thing..that same ring wasn't working...i checked the ballast connecting other connector ring which was still working to it and it lit up fine..no problems...so im gonna try replacing the bulb again...but if it goes out..does anyone know why it might be doing that?...would the ballast be messed up? Too much power coming from somewhere all of a sudden?..thx...any advice would be appreciated...

Have you tried just starting up the car? It could be that the ring is just cold and is not at full brightness.

damn this is an old thread.

anyhow muska, did you check the fuse? if they all went out, that could be it. or you're not getting any power from the positive tap.

I know this is an older thread... but better to post here than a new thread.

I'm having similar problem with a ring out... and i'm getting a replacement bulb for the ring...

I already checked the inverter... but when I get a replacement bulb for the ring where does it go? I'm not even sure where on the p46 the bulbs are at?

Does it come with a guide on where the bulb is at?

Thanks

Kris

you have to open the p46s, and open the plastic rings. that's where the ccfl tube goes.
