quick question about license plate LED

do sedans and coupes use the same type of bulb for license plate frame?

I've tried fitting the ones from Euro-Spec on my sedan and they just wouldn't fit . I barely got them to fit on my friend's coupe. They were just a tiny bit bigger than the OEM ones.

if i get regular LEDs with a positive and a negative can i just tap them into the + and - of the license plate thing, if i get like 5 LEDs for either side will i burn my fuse or something? Ghetto but no ones see's it and cheap cuz i dont want to pay $20 + for the real thing

yep i got 39mm festoon LEDs when i got them from autolumination
