foglight bulbs

Currently my DRL lights are yellow (dont remember were they 55w or 80w) but i want to get my foglight yellow as well. Is it wise to get them 80w or stay with 50w since the housing is very compact. This might melt the housing. Though i wan to have them bright yellow. Thanks

I have some 9006 yellow bulbs laying around, I just bought some 3000k hids for my fogs so I have no use for the bulbs, ive only had them like 2 weeks and then found a deal on some hids I coudlnt pass up, they are only 55 watt but put out a nice yellow color, bought them off ebay from a very reputable seller (eurodesigns) and they have a lifetime warranty, i paid like $25 shipped or something, pm with an offer if you want, ill take pics tonight if u wanna see the color output, here is a link to the ad on ebay...

should be 55w. i would stay with 50w or 55w (whatever the factory wattage for the bulbs are), that way you don't melt the wiring harness that goes to it. the housing will probably not melt. you can't really have bright yellow unless it's HID. the higher you go in wattage, the more the light tends to be white. that's why those crappy blue bulbs are still somewhat bright, they double the power to keep about the same amount of lumens

Been reading up a bit on LaminX. Not really sure how the color would be like comparing to a yellow bulb. Anyone got extra pieces of the yellow laminx that i can buy from to try out.?
