HID bulb changing colors...any ideas what it might be?

well i was about to leave on my way to the store i turn on the headlights and i noticed a purple light emitting off of my garage wall i get out to look to see what the light source was, and what do you know turns out to be my driver side headlight, any ideas what the problem could be could be. The weird thing is that its only one headlight.
If anybody can explain to me whats with the color change, its a bi-xenon headlight..didnt want to touch it and get fried by touching it so thought i'd ask for help.

I have the EXACT same problem with my 02' 330, bi-xenons too. My driver side is purple, and the passenger side is normal
I took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't warrant the bulb unless it "failed"
The way they responded to it was very surprised, they said they had never seen it before.
Does the car have any electrical problems that you know about?
Bad wiring, or even a blown bulb somewhere?
Take comfort in the fact that my car has been this way for over a month.
Do you think upgrading the bulbs to 8000K would take care of it?

Mine was with the same problem. One headlight was purple.

Installed new bulbs and problem was gone. Must be a sign of aging. Also I have now more light output because of the new bulbs.

Here's a pic I posted with the new bulb in the left headlight and the old one (purple) in the right one. I now got both headlights as the left one in the pic. Didn't notice the purple one was so dim until the new bulb was installed and compared side by side.
