One corner light blulb 1/2 bright???

Hey I got a 2001 BMW 325XI 4DR. For some reason my passengar side orange light bulb is half bright (Not the side little sliver one). When you look at the light bulb it seems to have 2 filaments. One big one, and one small one. Only the little one is lit. Now I know what you're thinking "Just change the bulb idiot". I have swapped between 4 different bulbs and different companies. I can take one bulb put it in the driver side and it works fine, then to the passengar side, and the main one doesnt go. Any thoughts?? Is it the socket? Or is it some internal issue? If its a socket, does anyone knwo where to get another socket? Thanks!

it's the socket, sounds like it's not getting a good connection. don't know why you have an 1157 bulb though. it's supposed to be an 1156 or 7507 (both single filament)

Yep, definitely a contact issue. I am surprised you have a 1157 as well, those are for the older E36s.

at the dealer. i'm sure if you put an 1156 bulb in there, it should be the same brightness

I have tried 3 different bulbs, 1 from the parts counter at BMW, and they all do the same. Im thinking then that its the socket

yea, but did you try a different type? i understand that you tried 3 different brands. I mean for you to change from a dual filament bulb to a single filament bulb.
