Who Here drives Their Car??

DUDE, my dad took out my bimmer TWICE, the first time the car came back the left side of my front bumper is cracked, the second time the car came back, the right side of my front bumper had a piece falling off.

my poor reiger front bumper is all fvcked up now.

He's never touched my car since.

Pretty much any of my friends can drive the 911... i dont care

Both my parents drive my car. They both know how to drive manual.. I guess I'm lucky like that..

Also my close friends and one of my co-workers - once ( well he let me drive his sentra when I was learning manual and before i got my car)

I only let people drive the M if they have experience driving performance oriented cars. AKA My father (owns M3), Friend (Owns STi) and other friend (owns modified Legacy GT). I also have two friends with Jettas that want to drive it but I dont let them because they make fun of my Honda haha...and because they drive Jettas.

My wife and I are the regular drivers. If the need arises our kids (both over 21) are allowed as well. The fear of mom and dad's wrath keeps the car safe!

Only me....Until my daughter gets her licence.

My wife when necessity demands it. Other than her, a family friend who also owns a BMW so she was granted permission. She liked the ZHP compared to her wagon!!

Im the same way with my cars. On my other car (BBC 72 Nova) I have a hidden switch where I can choose between rev limits, so I have one setting under 3K whenever I have to take it in to get the front end aligned. I came back to pick it up once and one of the mechanics said the engine was missing. So I yelled at him " were you doing driving my car around!? On the lift, off the lift, no more! "...

I know this is from an old post, but for the record: alignment techs are supposed to take every car they align out for a test drive after they finish. Nothing extended, just a spin down some streets, because they have to make sure the car is aligned properly. If there was a problem with your alignment job, wouldn't you rather they catch and fix it before you pay and the car is returned to you? I'm sure some techs do end up taking inappropriate joy rides w/customer cars, but a test drive is part of their job.

i let my one best friend drive it just because bmw is his favorite kind of car and its not like hes a bad driver so why not.

I don't really mind if anyone drives it as long as they know how to drive stick good. My twin brother usually drives it the most since he has a truck and misses driving stick so... but he drives it very nice though I would let him borough it anytime.

ummm my ex did once when i was too drunk to drive and another time my best friend did, again when i was too drunk to drive. lol

to everyone that says " its not a ferrari" blah blah blah who cares. some people put hard work into their cars. i dont let anyone drive mine except my best friend. just cuz he has a e46 also thats low.. or was low. my dad needed to back it out once and he broke my mirror so that was the end out it for him.

I let all of my friends who can drive a stick drive, although one of those friends I personally regret because he just gets behind the wheel and it's like the accelerator must be in the floor....All of the cars in my household are stick so my mom drives it occasionally although she drives the m3 so when she takes it I take hers and that's always a plus. My girlfriend I'm still teaching to drive stick so eventually she'll get there too

not one of my family has driven my car.... my mom would be the only person insured to do so, and she has no need to drive it.

the only person that has driven it other than myself since i have owned the car has been my friends dad who owns a new shape (e92? not sure) 320td and previously owned an e46 320 saloon. just so he could see the petrol performance...

like him, i prefer the new 320d engine...

Only I drive my car. Its a 5-speed so that cuts down on the contenders. My father and a buddy of mine who is very respectful of bimmers and also owned one before have driven it. I'd let my woman drive but that goes back to the whole stick thing.

I'll let her learn that one the honda.
