Where can I find..... and a UUC TSE question
Where can I find a....High flow catalytic converter?
I had seen these for the previous model of 3 series but have been hard-pressed to locate one for the e46 Question 2, Has anyone explored options of replacing the other factory resonator that isnt removed by the UUC TSE by something a little less restrictive in the setup? I'm not really sure if this is possible, but considering that a cat-back exhaust would remove the other resonator I was thinking that it might be possible. Anyone ever hear of either of these being done by anyone here? Thanks. |

The only high flow cat for the E46 is from super sprint and it is not street legal. Unlike older 3s the cats are in the headers of the E46 so replacing them means replacing the headers. There has yet to be proof that this adds enough HP to justify the 2k + price tag.
You can get the center resonator removed by any muffler shop but one that does performance work is going to do a better job. I would personally not recommned this as the exhaust is probably going to "drone" at highway speed. If you look at the Borla cat back system it still has a center resonator. Tim

Tim, what are your thoughts about replacing the 2nd resonator on a 323 with UUC TSE for more sound. Both me and SilverPuppy are looking into this... thanks, B
